Variex was conceived as a stroke design. Each character is defined by center-lines of uniform weight, from which the three weights are also derived. Varying the weight of a stroke typeface changes the thickness around the center line and thus alters the alignment of some characters.

Triplex is Zuzana Licko's first sans-serif text design. It evolved from working with geometric typefaces. Traces of my earlier Citizen design are visible in Triplex.

Created with inspiration from the 1965 Dover release " Handbook of Early Advertising Art, Typographical Volume." This typeface contains both script and Roman characters for a broad spectrum of applications. Not only does this typeface have ligatures, tabular, superior, and inferior numerals, but it also has a wide variety of flourishes for your visual enjoyment.

This typeface is named after John Baskerville's wife. As Baskerville was setting up his printing and type business, Mrs. Eaves moved in with him as a live-in housekeeper, eventually becoming his wife after the death of her first husband, Mr. Eaves. Like the widows of Caslon, Bodoni, and the daughters of Fournier, Sarah similarly completed the printing of the unfinished volumes that John Baskerville left upon his death.
Based on a vague idea of a typeface that I had not yet seen but wanted to use in my graphic design. I wanted a typeface that would willfully contradict expectations. Yet Keedy still maintains its legability.
