Outwest was commissiooned by art director, Laurie Haycock Makela for use in the Walker Art Center's publication Design Quarterly. Edward Fella originally drew Outwest by hand using the fifteen degree elipse on an architectural templet. The full name given to this design, "Outwest on a Fifteen Degree Elipse" evokes the rational yet organic, as well as Western qualities.

The inspiration for Dalliance came from an old book. The additional Flourishes font offers a complamentary source for enriching texts with ornaments, flowers, rules, and lines. The left and right hand elements can be easily set in various combinations. Most of these characters can be connected to any Dalliance Script starting or ending with a link.

The Dogma Bold, Black and Scrip Bold fonts have special keys which allow the combination of many connecting pairs. These can be used to create customized lettering by varing the combination of connectors.

Platelet is a upper and lower case alphabet in three weights. The inspiration for Platelet came from the California license plate. Similar to the composing constrictionsof the typewriter, the manufacture of license plates also requires the use of monospaced type; not only for mechanical requirements, but alsso to fufill the needof fitting a fixrd number of characters on each platewhile maximizing their visability from a distance.

Motion was designed by Frank Heine in 1992. Since 1991 Heine was continually designing new typfaces that are distributedhtrough several foundaries. Among his designs are the well- known Remedy and Amplifier. In 1994 he founded his own company U.O.R.G. in Stuttgart. Besides the design of new fonts and typographic logos, the company focuses on corporate design.
